The ACE is the Place!

Hello, Friends!

With the midterms in the rearview mirror, right now is a great time to start thinking about preparing for the remaining assignments in the semester. Any major writing assignments or projects, or possibly some concerning math or science-related assignments that you are concerned about – no problem! The Academic Center for Excellence (ACE) is here to help you in any way that we can.

One great way to help ease your concerns is to use the services of the ACE and visit ollusa.mywconline.com to create a user profile for academic tutoring. Once registered as a user on the My WC Online website, you can make any necessary tutoring appointments with tutors and writing consultants, face-to-face or virtual.

The ACE has professional writing consultants who can assist you with any stage of the assignment and writing process, from discussing ideas and brainstorming, to working on revisions of a completed draft.

And this semester there are also peer tutors available to tutor in subject areas and sections such as: Accounting (ACCT 2311, 2312, and 3311) Chemistry (CHEM 1401 and 1402), Biology (BIOL 1401 and 1402), and Math (MATH 1301, 1303, 1304, 1401, 1404, 1405, 1411, 2303, 2412, 2413, and 3310).

In addition to our face-to-face or virtual appointments, the ACE also has a YouTube channel, The ACE at OLLU. On our channel, we have five seasons of our educational web series, Playing the ACE.

All episodes of Playing the ACE are available to watch individually or in curated season playlists. Our episodes have various tips for making student life less hectic and more manageable through proven methods and the lived experiences of tutors, consultants, and special guests from the faculty and staff at OLLU.
